The shoot this weekend was exhilarating, nerve-wracking and knackering in equal measure, but we did it! One short film ‘in the can’. I’m still going through all the shots and audio, but it looks like we have 96 glorious takes to make Infernal Creations. Russ, Darren and Tom have captured, some fantastic images and sound for me to play with.
The actors were incredible: Mark was stunning and left us all (even Ken!) in awe at times. Ken proved every inch the mad, cantankerous genius that he is, and that two strokes are not enough to keep him down. Ben was brilliant, throwing himself (quite literally at times) into the role of Geoff, the beleaguered council worker who heard the wrong voicemail message. Mollie played a blinder as the spooky ghost girl.
Lucy and Lisa kept me sane, Billie did a brilliant job on makeup, Amber weaved her magic with costumes and set design and David was always there when I needed him to do something really crappy. Legends all! I can’t thank them enough.
Big thanks also to Libby and Chris at Bilsington Priory, for shepherding dogs and moving cars in the pouring rain, and being the most excellent hosts.
So, now it’s nose to the grindstone. Edit, FX, sound editing, music score. Gonna be a while yet before this baby sees the light of day. Watch this space for updates!
